I think that deciding to use these two yarns is a bit challenging for me as a beginner!  Colinette mohair and mercury, which is a slick ribbon-like material.  Almost no give at all in either of them, so casting on and the first few rows were horrible!  I didn't think I was going to be able to do it, but grimly trudged on and after about the first six or seven rows things got easier.  I adore the colours, and had no idea that mohair is so light and warm!

I'm going for some long drapey tassels on this one too, so must remember not to knit on and on until I have no yarn left!
