Fish And Swans... And Chips!
We recently took a trip to Littlehampton on a cold October afternoon and evening to see if we could get some pictures of a good autumn sunset over the sea. We had a fair amount of waiting around to do, so walked around the shorefront and the pier.

It was colder than it looks here, and can you believe that people were still on the beach building sandcastles! I am just so impressed with my fellow countrymen when I see that kind of thing. Anyway, we walked along the walkway into the town proper, watching the clouds and light changing, and wondering if there was going to be a sunset for us to photograph. As we went, we heard a lot of squawking and seagull excitement, and expected to see someone feeding seagulls, but guess what we saw!!!!

There was a couple feeding swans - a lot of swans!! There must have been at least 30 - I've never seen so many swans together in the same place - it was amazing. There were some youngsters hanging around with the group too. I wonder if swans gather there before wintering somewhere else? I feel some research coming on.
