A Devastating Loss

I am very sad to report that we made the decision to let our Mini-Mog go peacefully on Monday afternoon at about 2pm, when our very kind and competent vet advised us that he was suffering from a very nasty unbounded cancerous growth that was identified during exploratory surgery.

He had been mildly off-colour for a while, but rapidly went downhill over a week. He was severely anaemic, and although was strong enough to withstand the surgery, would not have been able to recover from what was ailing him, or to have any reasonably quality of life as it took its inevitable course.

We were lucky enough to have 13 or so years with this accident-prone and exquisitely lovable little scoundrel, and his loss has left a large and silent hole in our hearts.

I am glad that we were strong enough to make the hardest decision for him, and am so glad that he will not need to suffer any longer.

Sleep easy, my little hon, and know that we love you.
